My upbringing instilled in me a sense of social justice and civic duty. Between college and law school, I had the opportunity to exercise my civic duty by working at a small non-profit non-partisan voter education service. This work imprinted upon me the respect for the gentle art of negotiations. These combined experiences primed my passion to advocate on behalf of the less fortunate while fighting for equal access. Coupled with my drive to protect and defend the welfare of animals, I was inspired to be an attorney.
I attended law school at Lewis & Clark Law School and graduated in 2002. While in law school, I was a Form and Style Editor for the Environmental Law review, I oversaw the Members, and I was published in Animal Law. During my search for my ideal way to serve, I worked for the Bonneville Power Administration and the Oregon State Bar.
Eventually, I capitalized on my skills to solve puzzles and work independently by joining a diverse Yamhill County law firm. To my delight, I eventually became the owner of my own law practice. In my capacity as owner and attorney, I feel honored to be a legal source for the community as they navigate their assorted legal rights and responsibilities.
